If you’re impatient to get into the Christmas spirit, and you like the experience of picking out your own tree, we buy ours each year at the Ferme Aebi in Chailly. The farm has been destroyed in order to build more apartments (don’t get us started on how we feel about THAT decision…), but Christmas trees will be sold next to the construction site this year, even still.

EcoSapin
In addition to the typical cut Christmas trees, EcoSapin offers a concept unique in the region – you can actually order your tree in a pot with the roots still intact. After the holidays, you can either keep the tree and plant it in your garden or ask EcoSapin to pick it up and give it a second life with another family next year. When we first heard of this concept a couple years ago, it seemed so strange. But if you think about it, it makes SO MUCH sense not to waste a beautiful tree.

My Abies
This is a digital solution for someone who wants a local tree but who likes the idea of delivery. The website asks for your NIP and then offers options from the tree farm closest to your home. Deliveries are made throughout the month of December.
Where: My Abies also uses a simple configurator to help you select a tree that fits your preferences. We love how they also share details about the farmer who grows your tree!
When: After you place your order, My Abies gets in touch to arrange delivery.
Christmas Tree Market at Place de la Riponne
Head to the Place de la Riponne to pick out your tree from a number of small companies, some specializing in local production – if local is important to you, be sure to inquire with the individual sellers.
Where: Right in front of the Palais de la Riponne, this is an ideal option for anyone living in centre-ville.
When: From December 6 to December 24, open every day from 10h – 19h.
Mon Bô Sapin
For those who are especially sensitive to ecological concerns and are looking for an alternative to the traditional Christmas tree, Mon Bô Sapin is a really interesting option. The wooden trees are designed, sourced, and constructed here in Canton de Vaud. What’s more, the carpenters who have built them are participating in a professional reorientation program in Le Mont-sur-Lausanne, meaning this is an ecologically- and socially- responsible solution. We love the beautiful, pure design!
