Switzerland is making history this summer as it hosts the UEFA Women’s EURO for the first time, from July 2 to 27, 2025. With 16 teams, 31 matches, and over 700,000 tickets up for grabs across eight cities—including Basel for both the opening match and the grand final—it’s shaping up to be an unforgettable month of football.

It’s not just about spectating—Lausanne wants you on the field too. The city’s Fan & Fun Zone is packed with free, family-friendly events:
- 3v3 “Fun Zone” pitch: Gather your crew and show off your moves.
- Foot-pool & target shooting: Football gets a playful twist with these interactive challenges.
- Tournaments for young players: Over 300 kids will take the field at Stade de la Tuilière, with local clubs opening their doors to the next generation of footballeuses.
A goal-den nugget: Women’s football is the fastest growing sport worldwide, with viewership up 30% since the last EUROs. And in 2022, more than 365 million people tuned in globally. Whilst we won’t get to host any of the matches, Lausanne isn’t just on the bench.
