  • Cellules exhibition at MAF (until June 4)
    The newly opened Musée Artistes Femmes (MAF) launches its Future of Art program with Cellulose, an exhibition exploring contemporary artistic practices through experimental materials and forms. Running through June 4, it’s a great excuse to discover both a new cultural space in Lausanne and a fresh wave of thought-provoking contemporary art.
  • Onania exhibition by Leah Linh (March 13 – April 11)
    Opening March 13 at Espace d'art HumuS, with a vernissage from 18:00, Onania is the latest exhibition by Lausanne-based artist Leah Linh. Through sculptural forms in latex and silicone, the installation explores the body as a place of memory, resistance, and desire, responding to the way female pleasure has often been ignored or silenced in history.
  • Baby Volcano at Théâtre de Vidy (March 6–15)
    Electrifying performer Baby Volcano lands at Théâtre de Vidy for a short run this March. Expect a bold, genre-blurring show that mixes music, performance, and raw stage energy.
  • Festival du Film Vert (March 7 – April 12)
    Festival du Film Vert is back with a full program of documentaries exploring nature, sustainability, and the future of our planet. Screenings pop up across the region, making it easy to catch an inspiring film close to home.
  • La Visite at Théâtre 2.21 (March 13–29)
    Premiering at Théâtre 2.21, La Visite is a one-hour play that dives into the rarely discussed realities of postpartum motherhood—with humor, honesty, and a touch of joyful chaos. It’s the perfect cultural pre-dinner outing, and after Lausanne the show will tour to Geneva, Lyon, and Paris.
  • Lausanne Urban Trail (Sunday)
    Sunday’s Urban Trail turns the city into a playground for runners. It’s a fun way to explore Lausanne’s streets, staircases, and views while getting your heart rate up.
  • Crochet Atelier at Cospire (Sunday)
    Slow things down on Sunday with a cozy crochet workshop hosted at Cospire by secret Society of Paper. It’s the perfect creative pause—whether you’re picking up a new hobby or just looking for a mindful afternoon activity. Beginner and Intermediate levels welcome, Prix Libre, all materials + snacks and drinks provided. In case you’re a beginner Alexandrina will be happy to teach you how to do basic crochet stitches in order to be able to make a flower.
  • Festival Jorat, Mangez-Moi ! (March 15–29)
    The countryside around Lausanne is celebrating local food with the return of Festival Jorat, Mangez‑Moi !. It kicks off with the March 15 market—bringing together 25 restaurants, artisans, and producers (plus vintage tractors and farm animals)—followed by two weeks of tastings, special menus, farm visits, and food-focused activities across the Jorat region.
  • Lausanne SwimCup (Friday to Sunday)
    The 6th edition of the Lausanne SwimCup dives into Vaudoise aréna from March 13–15, bringing together more than 400 swimmers from 24 international delegations. Sponsored by Olympic medalist Noè Ponti, the event promises three days of high-level races featuring Olympic, world, and European champions—while also giving young regional athletes the rare chance to compete alongside the sport’s elite. Two special moments are also open to the public: a free training session on Thursday and a meet-and-greet with French swimming star Florent Manaudou on Sunday.
  • Jazz aux Mines in Bex (Friday & Saturday)
    If you’re in the mood for live music, head to Bee Restaurant this Friday or Saturday for Jazz aux Mines. Expect an intimate atmosphere, great musicians, and the perfect soundtrack to a relaxed night out.
  • Roller Skate Jam in Vevey (Saturday)
    Lace up your skates for Saturday’s Roller Skate Jam, a playful gathering for beginners and seasoned rollers alike. Expect good music, good vibes, and plenty of spins around the rink.
  • On Saturday, families can browse the Boursealoz second-hand sale, dedicated entirely to kids from 0–15 years old. Head to Rue Mathurin Cordier 10 to hunt for great finds while giving pre-loved items a new life.
  • Les Printemps de Sévelin – An international contemporary dance festival with performances from Swiss and international artists running until March 22.
  • Rencontres 7e Art Lausanne 2026 – Part of the 9ᵉ edition of this cinema festival featuring film screenings, discussions and workshops running until March 16
