Wondering what's going on in and around Lausanne? Check out our picks for this week:
- Yoga & Book Swap in the Park on Monday. Ease into the week with a relaxed morning at Parc de l’Elysée combining movement, books, and community. Presented by Bookward Bound and ItsOkYoga, the event begins with an outdoor yoga session from 11:00–11:45, followed by a casual book swap and picnic in the park. Bring a yoga mat, a few books you’d like to exchange, and settle in for reading, conversation, and sunshine by the lake.
- MIAM Food Festival (ends on Monday): Lausanne à Table brings together some of the city’s best street food in one vibrant open-air festival — expect bold flavours, local favourites and the perfect excuse to spend the day eating your way through Lausanne.
- Odd Wednesday: 1 Hour Comedy Show. Looking for a midweek laugh? Every other Wednesday, Diff Sociobar hosts a fast-paced evening of stand-up comedy featuring a mix of experienced performers and rising local comedians. It’s an easy, low-key way to break up the week with drinks, comedy, and a lively atmosphere in the heart of Lausanne. Reservations recommended.
- Design Days 2026 from Thursday to Sunday, set in the iconic La Rasude (Place de la Gare 1), a former train depot. Now in its 17th edition, Design Days has become one of the most exciting creative events in Suisse romande, known for making contemporary design feel accessible, playful, and interactive rather than intimidating. Whether you’re deeply into architecture and interiors or simply curious to explore Lausanne’s creative scene, it’s an inspiring way to spend an afternoon wandering through ideas, objects, and conversations.
- Alongside the exhibitions, the festival features workshops focused on creative entrepreneurship, conferences on architecture and design culture, networking events, guided family visits, and the return of the immersive Design Dinner on Saturday, where gastronomy and design collide in a multisensory experience.
- Happy Wine Flon on Thursday and Friday. The name says it all. Grab your glass and roam the Flon district while tasting wines from local producers. Expect live music, happy people, and possibly your new favorite vintage.
- Creative Mornings returns on Friday morning with this month’s theme “Create”, bringing together designers, entrepreneurs, artists, students, and curious minds for coffee, breakfast, and conversation. Hosted at Cospire Coworking Space, the free event is part of the global CreativeMornings network, which hosts community-driven talks in hundreds of cities worldwide. Expect an engaging morning of ideas, networking, and fresh creative energy before the workday begins.
- Rebel Day: Unleash Your Inner Badass at Beaulieu on Saturday.
A full day for women who are done playing small and ready to shake things up. This isn’t your typical women’s event. We’re talking real conversations, raw stories, bold topics, and genuine connection with women who get it. Rebel Day is your permission slip to drop the masks, push your edges, and step into your power. We'll be talking about sex & pleasure, finances, hormones, aging out loud, making decisions, and more. - Panathlon Family Games on Saturday and Sunday. A family-friendly weekend of movement and games awaits at this event by Lausanne Sportive. Expect active fun for all ages—bring your trainers and your team spirit.
