LOCAL FESTIVALS
- It’s that time of the year again—Cully Jazz Festival (April 4-12) is back! Held in the picturesque lakeside village of Cully, this renowned festival transforms the town into a vibrant hub of jazz, soul, and world music. With intimate venues, a lively street atmosphere, and a mix of legendary artists and rising talents, Cully Jazz offers a unique and unforgettable experience for music lovers.
- Jorat Culinary Festival (April 1-6) - Just outside Lausanne, Jorat is a region where food moves seamlessly from field to plate. This week, six of the region's restaurants are each preparing a special menu featuring local produce during the Jorat, Mangez-Moi festival. Meat or cheese, fish or vegetables, saffron or bread: some twenty artisans and producers are also invited to this festival, and will provide essential ingredients to the menus.
- The annual Tulip Festival in Morges - A must-see event showcasing more than 140,000 flowers and nearly 350 varieties of tulips. This year, the theme "water" promises a unique visual and sensory experience.
- The Poussins d'Avril exhibition (March 29 - April 4) returns for its 7th edition in collaboration with the ProSpecieRara Foundation, with a renewed formula, unprecedented animations and the objective of raising awareness of wild and domestic biodiversity. Let yourself be amazed by the rare species that populate Switzerland.
MONDAY
- Young parents with their newborns are invited to visit the exhibition "Soleil·s – Solar Biennale 2" at mudac. It's a great opportunity to enjoy the museum in peace and quiet and have a pleasant time on Monday morning!
TUESDAY
- Join Cospire on April 1st for a Creative Evening, where ideas, art, and collaboration come to life in an inspiring atmosphere.
- Enjoy a night of laughter at Comedy Club 13 with the English Stand-Up Showcase. Top comedians take the stage for an evening of sharp jokes and nonstop fun.
- Experience Sahel’s unique blend of urban pop at Les Docks on April 1st. Part of Sorties Relax, this event is designed to be as inclusive as possible.
- Every Tuesday evening Café Saint Pierre offers cozy “Jazz & Dine” evenings, organized in collaboration with the EJMA.
WEDNESDAY
- The little ones at the museum – Soleil·s. Mudac is offering exploration formats specially designed for children aged 3 to 5, highlighting the various representations of the sun. Through a variety of techniques, children will discover the many different museum sensations. Children must be accompanied by an adult. Duration 45 minutes.
- Lausanne Cathedral celebrates its 750th birthday! On this occasion, the Guides d'accueil of the Mouvement des Aînés will make you (re)discover the internal and external treasures, and special features of the cathedral during 90-minute guided tours from April 2 to the end of June, every Wednesday at 2.30pm and every Saturday at 10.00am
THURSDAY
- VINEA On Tour will be hosting a free event at the Ecole Hôtelière de Lausanne. This exciting wine tasting experience invites you to explore a selection of wines from around twenty Swiss wine producers. It’s a fantastic opportunity to discover the diverse flavors of Switzerland’s wine regions, meet local producers, and expand your palate.
- A knitting workshop in Grandvaux: learn the steps to knit a mini-shawl (bandana or mini-scarf...) under Hélène's guidance. Come with your equipment (needles and yarn) - suitable for all levels.
- The mudac Afterworks - As part of the "Soleil·s – Solar Biennale 2" exhibition, every first Thursday of the month from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m., mudac invites you to afterwork events at the Nabi Bar with DJs mixing on the autonomous solar-powered DJ Booth. Come enjoy the sun's rays with music!
FRIDAY
- Let yourself be carried away by the chic atmosphere of LP's Bar and vibrate to the rhythm of a live band from 7:00 p.m. to 11:00 p.m.
SATURDAY
- A Reggaeton Party at Montana's - Get ready to dance all night with House of Perreo! Feel the Latin beats, high-energy vibes, and nonstop perreo on Saturday.
- Experience the soulful sounds of Adé live at Les Docks on April 5. Known for her unique blend of folk, pop, and poetic storytelling, Adé delivers an intimate yet powerful show that resonates with every listener.
- Nuit de Ping 2025 - Table tennis enthusiasts, club players and competitors, this event is for you! A night tournament in teams of 2 or 3 players. Whether you come with friends, family or colleagues, this is the perfect opportunity to share a moment of sport and fun, whatever your level.
- Don't miss the screening of some hilarious short films by Laurel & Hardy, accompanied on the organ by Guy-Baptiste Jaccottet at the Église Saint-Jean de Cour. The most famous comedy duo in the history of cinema takes you on its wacky adventures. Free event.
SUNDAY
- A special performance of Maurice Ravel's "Ma Mère l'Oye" as part of the Concerts pour Petits et Grands series by Les Variations Musicales. This event is designed to bridge the gap between concerts for young audiences and chamber music performances, welcoming children who can remain seated for 45 minutes as well as adult music enthusiasts.
- On April 6, Marrow Lausanne is hosting the annual "Course contre la Leucémie" at Stade Pierre-de-Coubertin. This free event aims to raise awareness for leukemia and promote stem cell donation. Participants can choose to run, walk, or simply cheer on others. The day includes warm-ups led by the Running Club of Lausanne, a raffle with exciting prizes, and refreshments provided by Sleepy Bear Coffee. Join us in supporting this important cause!
- Pyrography workshop at Attribut d'Iris. Wood, heat, a little smoke and above all a lot of creativity, that's pyrography! This art consists of drawing with a very hot pen on wood. You will be able to practice the different techniques on several varieties of wood in order to feel the characteristics of the wood species. You will leave with your own decorated board, perfect for your cooking or your next aperitif.
