Stream Big, Snack Local: TLG’s Spring Watchlist with Sky

April 4, 2025

There’s nothing quite like the joy of a good binge-watch—except maybe the joy of a good snack to go with it. Whether you're diving into the cutthroat politics of House of the Dragon, getting lost in the moody mysteries of True Detective, or indulging in the drama-filled paradise of The White Lotus (psst… the 3rd season finale is on April 7th and a must-watch), Sky has something for everyone.

But since we’re in Lausanne, we wanted to make this binge-watching experience feel a little more local. So, we asked The Lausanne Guide team to reveal their current Sky obsessions and, of course, recommend the perfect local snack or drink to go with them. Because if you’re going to settle in for a great show, you might as well do it with something delicious in hand.

Ready to snack and stream? Here’s what to watch, what to eat, and where to get it.

Tanya’s Pick: "The Last of Us" with Urban Kombucha

In a show where a fungus outbreak changes the world forever, it only makes sense to pair it with a drink that’s also powered by fermentation. Urban Kombucha is full of living cultures, but thankfully, these ones won’t turn you into a Clicker. Plus, it’s refreshing, a little funky, and the perfect thing to sip while navigating the show’s intense emotional highs and lows. Good news: Season 2 will be available April 14!

Last of Us

Sarah’s Pick: “Homeland” with Belga’s Takeaway Fries

Double agents, double-crosses… and double-cooked fries. Homeland is all about high-stakes espionage, where nothing is ever as it seems—kind of like how Belga’s twice-fried Belgian beauties seem light and crispy but hit with serious, no-nonsense flavor. Salty, addictive, and impossible to put down (much like this show), they’re the perfect companion for a night of twists, turns, and Carrie Mathison-level intensity. Lies and fries—what a combo.

Homeland

Clara’s Pick: “Yellowstone” with the Smokin’ Holy Cowboy from Holy Cow!

Big skies, big personalities, and even bigger stakes—Yellowstone is all about rugged ranch life, family feuds, and unapologetic grit. Enter the Smokin’ Holy Cowboy burger: double Swiss beef, double cheddar, bacon, BBQ sauce, and caramelized onions—a meal fit for a Dutton. Bold, messy, and packed with Western flavor, it’s the kind of thing you’d want after a long day on the ranch (or, you know, just binge-watching Yellowstone from your couch).

Yellowstone

Doris’ Pick: "House of the Dragon" with Dry-Aged Beef from La Bouche Qui Rit

Fire, blood, and family feuds—only a feast fit for a Targaryen will do. La Bouche Qui Rit’s dry-aged beef is rich, intense, and deeply flavorful, the kind of meat that demands patience and respect (much like ruling the Seven Kingdoms). Whether you’re searing a steak or slicing into charcuterie, it’s a carnivore’s dream—best enjoyed with a goblet of red wine and a wary eye on your rivals.

House of the Dragon

Nix’s Pick: “The Day of the Jackal” with an Espresso from Sweet Bean Roastery

A show about a precision-obsessed assassin calls for an equally sharp and expertly crafted drink—enter Sweet Bean Roastery’s espresso. Strong, smooth, and gone in a flash, it’s the perfect match for this high-stakes thriller.

TLG Tip: Season 1 is out now, and with Season 2 on the way, there’s no better time to catch up—preferably with a double shot in hand.

The day of the Jackal

Sophie’s Pick: “The White Lotus” with Niels Rodin’s Vermouth Rosé

If The White Lotus were a drink, it would be something effortlessly chic, slightly unexpected, and just a little bitter—much like this Vermouth Rosé. Infused with citrus grown in Switzerland (yes, really), it’s the kind of drink you can imagine sipping poolside while watching the ultra-rich self-destruct. Order a bottle, pour over ice, and pretend you’re in Thailand on holiday—just, you know, with fewer murder plots.

The White Lotus

Lama's Pick: “Mayfair Witches” with a carac

Beneath its glossy, almost supernatural green shell, the carac hides a rich, dark chocolate filling—just like the Mayfair family hides centuries of power, secrets, and intrigue. This classic Swiss pastry is small but intense, a perfect match for the eerie, gothic world of Mayfair Witches. Plus, with its bewitching emerald-green icing, it looks like something that could be used in a ritual… or just enjoyed with a cup of tea while diving into the drama. TLG Tip: Season 2 dropped in January 2025, so the full spell has been cast—binge at your own risk.

Mayfair Witches

Marc's Pick: "True Detective" with EPIQ’s Dark Ale

This show is slow, moody, and full of dark, brooding monologues—just like a strong, locally brewed dark ale from EPIQ. The rich, complex flavors fit the show’s philosophical tone, and let’s be honest, "True Detective" is exactly the kind of series you want to watch while nursing a heavy beer in dim lighting.

True Detective

Great TV deserves great snacks, and with Sky’s lineup of binge-worthy shows, there’s never been a better excuse to settle in with a Lausanne-inspired treat. Ready to start watching? Subscribe to Sky and dig in.
