Wondering what's going on in and around Lausanne? Check out our picks for this week:

  • Teddy & the Bears at Comedy Club 13 (Tuesday) - Get ready for a lively night of English-language stand-up with Swiss comedian Teddy Hall and one or two guest comedians at Comedy Club 13. Expect fresh jokes, plenty of interaction and a show that’s never quite the same twice.
  • CreativeMornings Lausanne on Altitude (Friday, Tibits). Start your Friday morning with mountaineer, filmmaker and multimedia journalist Julia Hamilton, who has spent nearly 20 years working in international news and now calls Zermatt home. After summiting Everest in 2025 and Makalu in 2026, she brings a very different perspective on “Altitude” — from high-altitude adventure to storytelling, resilience and seeing things from a new perspective.
  • Dark Hearts – English Stand-Up Comedy (Friday, Diff Lausanne) - Friday night, dinner and a dose of sharp-tongued comedy? Sign us up. Dive into the glorious mess of ego, love, politics and the family histories behind it all, with an early English-language comedy show designed to leave you laughing and a little happier.
  • Matcha & Tea Ceremony at El Gato Pâtisserie (Saturday) - Discover the art of Japanese tea with Morimi, who has practised the tea ceremony for 30 years, in an intimate workshop at El Gato Pâtisserie. Compare exceptional organic matchas, learn how to whisk your own, taste matcha and hojicha lattes, and finish with a traditional tea ceremony — all paired with freshly made gluten- and lactose-free treats. Two sessions at 10:30am and 2pm, with just 10 places each.
  • Japanese afternoon Tea by OSIO (Saturday-Sunday). OSIO’s much-loved Afternoon Tea is back for its fourth edition, bringing a Japanese twist to the classic tea-time ritual. Expect a beautiful spread of six savoury Japanese bites and 17 sweet treats, paired with your choice of two teas or coffees — all served in OSIO’s pâtisserie-salon de thé in Prilly. Reservation required.
  • Du Comal à la Table (Sunday) – Bring a taste of Mexico to the table with a generous brunch inspired by the family recipes of Laura Spicher, founder of Taqueria Don Vergas. Expect comforting Mexican flavours, dishes made for sharing and the warmth of a meal that brings everyone together at Studio HyperAktiv in Ecublens.
  • Bonvillars Truffle Market (Saturday, Bonvillars) - Follow your nose to Bonvillars for a whole day dedicated to Switzerland’s beloved “black diamond.” Browse fresh Swiss truffles, meet growers and chefs, watch truffle dogs in action and, of course, sample plenty of truffle-filled treats alongside local wines.

HALLOWEEN THEMED-EVENTS

  • Murder Party at Gotham Coworking (Thursday) - Put on your best outfit and mask for a Halloween masquerade that takes a very dark turn when a body is found on the dance floor. With the culprit hiding among the guests, you’ll need to piece together clues, alibis and lies to crack the case — so bring your best detective skills.
  • Fabulous Halloween Quiz Dinner & Karaoke After-Party (Friday at Perbacco) – Why settle for just a Halloween party when you can have dinner, a quiz, karaoke and a whole lot of spooky fun rolled into one? A welcome glass of prosecco and mingling from 7pm, followed by a three-course dinner and team quiz, with a bottle of champagne for the winning team and prizes for the best costumes.
  • Ladies’ Night: Gothic Noir (Saturday) - Dispatched Divorcée brings a Halloween night of storytelling and dancing to Diff, made for divorcées and the friends who love them. Expect three haunting stories, custom divorcée-themed cocktails and, from 10pm, a dance party with DJ Queen Moustache — gothic, glamorous and just the right amount of dramatic.
  • Lace up for the Halloween Roller Skate Jam by GoNuts (Saturday, Halle de Beaulieu). Expect retro beats, glowing wheels, and costumes that spin as fast as the skaters. Equal parts workout and party, it’s a reminder that fitness can be as fun as it is fierce.
  • Fabulous Karaoke: Halloween Special (Saturday). Lausanne’s much-loved Fabulous Karaoke is making a special Halloween appearance at Downtown Café for a night of spooky singalongs, big vocals and party vibes. Entry is free, and there are prizes for the best costumes — so dress to impress (or terrify), grab the mic and get ready to steal the show!
  • Switzerland’s Biggest Halloween celebration (October 29–31) is heading to Halle 35 at Beaulieu Lausanne for three nights of gothic glamour and vampire-filled mayhem. After drawing tens of thousands of festivalgoers in Montreux, Fribourg and Martigny, the party is taking over Lausanne — so prepare your best costume and get ready to enter Transylvania.
