Le MTC has recently undergone a full reset. New team, new vision, same unbeatable setting. The chefs behind DéCi and Té d’iCy have taken the reins, and the result is a place that seems effortlessly relaxed—warm staff, unfussy plates, a space that invites you to linger. But make no mistake: behind the scenes, there’s serious intention and skill. You can taste it in every bite.


Especially in the steak. The L-bone was the star of our evening—seared to perfection over wood fire, served sizzling with rosemary crackling on top and smoke still dancing in the air. It's the kind of dish that turns heads when it lands on the table. High-quality, perfectly cooked, generously portioned—and at a price that feels like a quiet miracle in Lausanne. Add a side of golden fries (crisp, salty, addictive) and a glass of Henri Cruchon wine, and you’ve got yourself a small celebration.


The menu is rooted in the seasons and in local sourcing, with a strong showing from Swiss artisans—wines, beers, pantry staples, and spirits alike. Whether you drop in after a tennis match or book a slow dinner with friends, Le MTC meets the moment. It's open seven days a week, with two terraces, friendly staff who make you feel like a regular, and a kitchen that clearly cares.


Le MTC doesn’t shout for attention. It doesn’t have to. It simply does what it does—beautifully, intentionally—and lets the atmosphere, the food, and that wood fire do the talking. And we’re already planning our return.
