A cozy and beautiful space nestled in the historic streets of La Cité, we finally passed by L'Académie Café - Brotherfields & Sister (we know it's a mouthful). The space is decorated with vintage furniture and accessories; cozy Swiss blankets piled on repurposed crates, terracotta pots and exposed brick are all surprisingly warm and welcoming. The menu is small, but we never mind that - we ordered avocado toast and flat whites and settled in.

In the morning they serve a range of breakfasts like tartine and bircher, and at lunch they have various options that change seasonally. The seating is somewhat generous for a small(ish) neighborhood café, but working laptops tend to linger a bit longer, even when there's a line, so consider taking it to-go or sit outside on the windowsill and taking in the gorgeous surroundings of La Cité.
