Wondering what's going on in and around Lausanne? Check out our picks for this week:
- Festival de la Cité is the annual, entirely free multi-disciplinary arts festival held in the historic center of Lausanne. The 54th edition takes place from June 30 to July 5, offering hundreds of live concerts, theatrical shows, and artistic performances across the city's squares and alleyways.
- An out-of-the-box social gathering on Tuesday (first event in French). F*ck The Small Talk and Epic Llama host a one-of-a-kind social experience where strangers come together for an afternoon of meaningful, fun, and deep conversation. It’s also just a different and cool way of meeting new people by getting a bit out of your comfort zone and skipping the small talk!
- Montreux Jazz Festival — July 3–18. Two weeks of concerts, lakeside stages, DJ sets and late-night sessions along the Riviera. From iconic international headliners to emerging artists, the festival transforms Montreux into a full summer soundtrack, with music flowing from the main auditoriums to open-air spaces by the lake.
- Tables Éphémères — July 1 & 2. Two unique evenings celebrating food and exceptional venues in Lausanne. On July 1, enjoy an exclusive dinner at the Beau-Rivage Palace prepared by Executive Chef Thierry Buffeteau. On July 2, go behind the scenes at Théâtre de Beaulieu for a one-of-a-kind dining experience orchestrated by Chef Benjamin Le Maguet from Le Comptoir de Beaulieu.
- Trois Tables, Trois Vigneronnes — July 3. An intimate communal dinner celebrating local food and wine, where a five-course seasonal, plant-based menu is thoughtfully paired with wines by winemaker Maryline Taurian. Expect long shared tables overlooking the gardens, meaningful conversations, and a beautiful summer evening.
