FOCA

What started as a bold experiment at an École Hôtelière de Lausanne event has officially become Lausanne’s newest must-try sandwich spot. FOCA, founded by three friends with a shared passion for food and hospitality, is now serving up next-level focaccia sandwiches from their freshly opened location near Mon Repos.

The star of the show? Their house-made focaccia—fluffy but crisp, herby but not too oily, and the perfect vessel for their globally inspired fillings. Our recommendation? The New Yorker, a nod to classic deli sandwiches with slow-cooked pastrami, spicy mustard, pickled cucumbers, and cheddar flambéed right before your eyes. But honestly, everything on the menu is worth a bite.

FOCA champions fresh, local ingredients (their bread is from the legendary Boulangerie de l’Hôtel de Ville in Crissier) and a made-to-order approach—because no one deserves a sad, pre-made sandwich. And with a line-up of exciting collabs and events in the works (think food-meets-music weekends), this is more than just a sandwich shop—it’s a whole vibe.
