From paddleboard to apéro board, explore Lausanne’s lakeshore one sip, slice, and swim at a time. This scenic SUP route from Lutry to Vidy highlights 10 must-stop buvettes - perfect for pausing, snacking, and soaking up the summer vibe.

With summer in full swing and the lake at its sparkling best, there's no better way to explore Lausanne's shores than by stand-up paddle. But this isn’t just a workout: it’s a floating food (and drink) tour. From Lutry to Vidy, we’ve mapped out the most charming buvettes and lakefront gems that welcome paddlers for a bite, a sip, or just a laid-back moment in the sun. Paddle, park, and pause.

We recommend starting in Lutry and making your way west toward Vidy, stopping as you please. The full route takes about 2–3 hours of paddling time (excluding your very necessary drink breaks), but it’s easy to split into sections or take a train or bus back from any stop.

1. Buvette de la Plage, Lutry

Right at the water’s edge, this easygoing buvette is the perfect launchpad for your paddle adventure. Grab a coffee, lemonade, or even a flaky croissant before setting off, and enjoy the vineyard views behind you and the lake glittering ahead.

2. Les Copains d’Abord, Lutry

A short glide away, this lakeside favorite delivers laid-back charm with a local twist. Settle in for a glass of Chasselas or a spritz and share a plate of tapas or charcuterie with your paddle buddies. With its relaxed terrace and friendly crowd, it’s the kind of place that instantly feels familiar.

3. La Paudèze, Paudex

Tucked just around a quiet cove, La Paudèze feels like a secret spot made for slow afternoons. Their homemade iced teas, focaccias, and casual apéro plates hit just right. It’s cozy, calm, and oh-so-worth the paddle.

Bright, breezy, and a little bit artsy, La Générale is one of those places you plan to stop at briefly...and end up staying for hours. Order a seasonal plate, sip on their local lemonades made with Pully’s water and let the laid-back portside vibe work its magic.

5. Bambino, Pully

La dolce vita on a plate. Bambino brings Italy to Pully with Neapolitan-style pizza and chilled spritzes. It’s unfussy, delicious, and full of Italian soul, making it an irresistible stop when you need a break (and a slice).

7. Le Minimum, Ouchy

Minimal in name, big on vibes. Sharing the lakeside deck with La Jetée, it’s the kind of spot that makes you stay awhile -solo or with friends. With §signature cocktails, local beers and soft drinks, plus regional nibbles that make for the perfect laid-back bite.

8. Jetée de la Compagnie, Ouchy

An iconic lakeside spot that captures the essence of summer: grilled bites, creative cocktails, and golden-hour beats. Their wooden deck feels like a mini escape. Come for the sunset, stay for the atmosphere.
