Lausanne Street Style: Katie

We know that the winter season brings forth a few fashion challenges, one being how to accessorize in a practical and pain-free way. We love Katie’s headwrap, as well as her brightly colored denim that adds a pop of color on a dreary winter day. On Katie:   Coat: Paul & Joe from Bongenie Headwrap: H&M Bag: Rebecca Minkoff Jeans: J-Brand Boots: Globus Photography by Gabriel Garcia Marengo

Lausanne Street Style: Nix

How cute is this little lady? We were drawn to her ability to transform a short vintage dress into this fall look with ease. Also, her leather boots were classic and gorgeous (and again, Lausanne friendly). Lausanne Street Style: Andja & Tiago

We came across this lovely couple at the Saturday morning market here in Lausanne. We especially love Tiago’s denim layering and Andja’s soft knit tucked into a patterned skirt–and can we talk about her shoes? Trendy, but oh-so-Lausanne(hilly cobblestones)-friendly. On Andja: Sweater: Zara Skirt: H&M Shoes: Zalando On Tiago: Button-Up Shirt: Zara T-Shirt: WE Shoes: MyShoes

Lausanne Street Style: Joelle

Sweater: Isabel Marant May is a capricious month in Lausanne, bringing both longed-for sunshine and, in what seems like the same breath, wintery winds. With such fluctuations, we thought that Joëlle made a beautiful selection – both fashionable AND practical – with this woolly sweater jacket. Isn’t she lovely?!?

Lausanne Street Style: Virginia

So maybe it’s not Paris. And thinking of it as a little Milan would be a stretch. But even still, Lausanne has a style and fashion-sense all its own. We hit the hills of our city this weekend for some “street style,” in search of Lausanne’s most fashionable ladies and gents. We started with our lovely friend Virginia – Saturday morning’s rain storms didn’t stop her from sporting this adorable ensemble and an eye-catching red umbrella.
