August 15, 2022

We are back from our vacations and looking to fight the post-holiday blues by filling up our social calendars this week. We've got museum exhibitions, the first ever water rugby tournament in Switzerland, live music and cultural festivals! Check out the line-up for this week:

  • The Maison Lavaux Exhibition allows you to discover the region that, since 2007, has been listed as a UNESCO World Heritage site. It is a singular yet multi-faceted place, which immerses you into the life of Lavaux thanks to an exhibition split into several themes in three separate rooms.
  • Yoga on the deck at Jetée de la Compagnie every Thursday morning.
  • Ever heard of water rugby? Well after this weekend you will! Head to Jetée de la Compagnie this Friday, Saturday and Sunday to witness the first ever water rugby tournament in Switzerland. Free entry, food trucks, DJs, bars, and more!
  • Gin-To Fridays at Brasserie de Montbenon
  • This Friday, come to the last cinema screening of Les Bobines de Valency at the Esplanade du Parc de Valency.
  • Films and anime, video games, cosplay and Miss Kawaii competitions, martial arts, a tea and incense ceremony, karaoke, stories for children, concerts, and conferences–Japan Impact awaits you at the Lausanne Federal Institute of Technology for a complete immersion in Japanese culture this Saturday & Sunday.
  • This Friday and/or Saturday, pass by Parc de Mon Repos from 17h30 to hear Jazz in the Park and Big Band tunes.
  • This Saturday is the 49Bis Festival at La Galicienne from 16h30 until midnight.
  • The beaches of Lutry will take on a Californian vibe this Saturday thanks to the first non-competitive longboard surfing event called “Cheese & Chocolate.” Experienced, enthusiasts, and amateurs will be able to surf waves caused by a motorboat, all in a festive atmosphere.
