3 Festive Cocktails to Make at Home

Many of us will be hunkering down and spending our holidays this season at home. Though the gatherings may be smaller, it doesn’t mean we need to settle for something less special. Here are three festive cocktails that are SUPER easy to make at home but have all the flavors that remind you of a cheerful party or hanging at your favorite bar decked with garland and twinkle lights. Orange Champagne Mule

What You’ll Need:

  • juice of 1/2 a medium orange
  • juice of 1/2 a lime
  • 1 ounce vodka
  • 8 leaves mint
  • 2 ounces chilled ginger beer
  • chilled champagne for topping

What You’ll Do:

  • In a glass, combine the fresh orange juice, lime juice & vodka.
  • Add the ginger beer and top with the champagne.
  • Garnish with orange slices and fresh mint.

Negroni Sbagliato

What You’ll Need:

  • 1 part Campari
  • 1 part Red Vermouth
  • 1 part Sparkling Wine


What You’ll Do:

  • Pour the Campari and Red Vermouth into a beaker with ice, stir.
  • Grab a tumbler (like a whiskey glass) and add ice
  • Pour the Campair and Red Vermouth into the double rocks glass/tumbler
  • Top up with sparking wine and garnish with an orange peel or fresh orange slice


Apple Cider Margarita

What You’ll Need:

  • 1/8 tsp ground cinnamon, 1/8 tsp ground ginger, 1/2 tsp coarse salt (optional for rim)
  • 3 oz good quality tequila
  • 2 oz fresh squeezed lime juice
  • 3 oz apple cider
  • 3 oz ginger beer
  • Lime wedges & apple slices for garnish

What You’ll Do:

  • In a shallow dish or small plate, mix together cinnamon, ginger and salt.
  • Rub a lime wedge around the rims of 2 glasses and turn upside-down onto dish with salt to coat the rims. Fill glasses with ice.
  • Add tequila, lime juice and cider to a shaker with ice. Shake vigorously, then strain into ice-filled glasses. Top drinks with ginger beer. Garnish with apple slices.
